New York:Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with the Maldivian Foreign Minister, Iruthisham Adam, during the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly.
According to Radio Pakistan, the two officials reviewed the bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Maldives, expressing satisfaction with the positive momentum in their ties.
They highlighted the importance of ongoing high-level engagement and agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, connectivity, economic relations, business-to-business linkages, academia, and defense.
Both sides also emphasized the need for greater cooperation at multilateral forums, including the UN, OIC, and SAARC, reaffirming their commitment to working closely on issues of mutual interest. The Maldivian Foreign Minister stressed the importance her country places on strengthening its longstanding relations with Pakistan.
