Govt Emphasizes Value-Added Exports and Investment in Talks with Swedish Ambassador

Islamabad:The government is prioritizing value-added exports, industrial development, and the elimination of barriers to investment, according to Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh.

According to Radio Pakistan, the minister made these remarks during a meeting with Swedish Ambassador to Pakistan, Alexandra Berg von Linde, in Islamabad.

He highlighted the significant potential for Pakistan and Sweden to enhance their economic partnership by leveraging their longstanding ties to foster investment, technology transfer, and business-to-business collaboration.

The ambassador noted that Swedish companies in Pakistan are represented by the Swedish Business Council, where they regularly discuss business concerns and investment opportunities. She also expressed Sweden's interest in supporting Pakistan's transition toward a more sustainable energy future.
