Islamabad:Pakistan's tech industry is thriving, driven by the talent and potential of its young workforce, according to Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima.
According to Radio Pakistan, Shaza Fatima made these remarks during her visit to Huawei's Global Service Center in Islamabad. She emphasized that Pakistan's IT talent is competitive in both cost and quality, and their contributions are becoming a crucial part of the services industry. This sector is described as a key pillar of the nation's economy and an important source of foreign exchange earnings.
The Minister pointed out that Pakistan's IT exports are increasing by approximately twenty percent each year. She reaffirmed the government's commitment to reaching the IT export target of twenty-five billion dollars, as set by the Prime Minister.
Shaza Fatima also mentioned the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China, expressing confidence that Huawei would continue to expand its presence and investment in Pakistan.
