Transformer-Based Load Management System Rolled Out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Islamabad:Minister for Power Division Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari has announced the active implementation of the Transformer-Based Load Management System across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Radio Pakistan, Leghari co-chaired a consultative meeting in Islamabad alongside Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi. The meeting aimed to develop sustainable solutions for power and energy challenges in the region.

The Transformer-Based Load Management System seeks to phase out the traditional practice of shutting down entire feeders, instead shifting load management to individual transformers. This approach is intended to improve the energy situation and provide relief to the public through collaboration with the provincial administration.

During the meeting, Governor Kundi emphasized the need for a significant reduction in load shedding, especially in high-loss and severely affected areas. Minister Leghari agreed to reduce load shedding and extend electricity supply duration in these regions as a gesture of goodwill.

The federal leadership expressed confidence that the public would support these efforts by paying outstanding electricity dues and combating power theft, which would help maintain an uninterrupted power supply. The meeting concluded with an agreement between the federal and provincial leadership to maintain close coordination to ensure the timely execution of the agreed roadmap, providing prompt and lasting relief to the citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
